I just wanted to say thank you so much for what The Investors Club has been able for me and my family. I emigrated from Zimbabwe to Australia 6 years ago. The Investors Club is the most exciting thing that has happened to me since coming to Australia .

I am happy to provide our story to illustrate what a fantastic service The Investors Club offers its members - FREE of charge.

 

We discovered The Investors Club in early 2003 thanks to a friend who had tried the system and had significant capital growth in her properties.  We bought our first Club property at the end of 2003, after I'd had a chance to scrutinise the Club and search for the loopholes (didn't find any, by the way).  As it was nearing the end of the property boom on the East Coast of Australia, we thought that we wouldn't have seen much growth at all in the next few years - but we were wrong.  Now, not even 5 years later, the property value has increased by nearly 70% (proven by other properties in the same complex which have sold recently).

 

We went on to buy other properties through The Investors Club, using the sound research techniques of the Club Researchers who find the best locations and good quality property.  The Investors Club has taught us how to manage our properties, how to protect our cash flow position and importantly, how to guard against problems that could affect our portfolio (ie. bad tenants).  The education they offer members is incredible - and for no charge.   We are so grateful to The Investors Club, as we are now on a solid pathway to financial freedom.  By the end of August (when our sixth property settles) we will have over $2million worth of Investment property (not including our home).  This is far beyond what we would have dreamed of 5 years ago.

I understand you are writing an article on the Best Property Club. The Club uses similar principles to The Investors Club and we have been with the Investors Club for around 9 years.

My wife and I only have praise for the Club and its concepts. We started investing through the Club around 9 years ago using the equity we had in our own home at the time. We purchased a property and the cost was not much per week. It did not grow at the time, but we went to Club information meetings and learned that it is long term growth that we are looking at. We purchased another property a year later. Still no growth. After the third year our two properties started to grow in value. We realised this is long term. We purchased another 4 during this year and our assets grew significantly. It has now been 9 years and our net assets have given us a retirement income far in excess of our salaries. So we have been using our equity to retire on. I have noticed that some people have tried to get rich quickly, but this is not the same approach. We only have high praise for Kevin and Kathy and the Club's concepts.

When we first came across TIC (late 90’s) we were very sceptical and had to see first hand (attended numerous meetings and travelled over a 1000km) what was being done and what was on offer before we committed to purchasing one property.

 

Our only regret now is that we were too hesitant initially. We wish we had purchased more properties from TIC and sooner.

 

With all that TIC has to offer and the tremendous support from the support members one has a very painless entry into property investment.

 

Comforting is the fact that all the members are both participants and supporters.

Also, the benefits offered by TIC save time, much money and gives (now that we have experienced TIC) great assurance.

It is very rare to stumble across an organisation that practices what it preaches.  Yes, having been caught by a few scams in my time it was with trepidation that I fronted up for my introductory session of the Investors Club.  To my surprise I found that there was no pressure put on anyone, the people in the club were everyday people just like myself, friendly and their philosophy of never selling made sense.  What was even more surprising is that following that session I was not bombarded with phone calls, etc asking me to buy- which was very pleasing and unusual.

 

When one thinks about it, it is not surprising that the Investors Club is being harrassed as history has shown that when things are too good to be true human nature being what it is, is very distrustful.  One could justifiably value an organisation and its credibility according to the number of complaints received from it members.  I would hazard a guess and estimate that this would be very minimal and I would suggest there would be more complaints received against it by non members who are envious of it success - which tells one something.

 

Because of the Investors Club, I can look forward to a comfortably retirement reading about the many unfortunate people who have chosen not too follow the path of wealth through property and my only regret is procrastination.

I was thinking of investing in property around 20 years ago but due to my inexperience, tendency to want to do everything myself and fear of failure, I just couldn’t make the first purchase. Around 15 years ago I went to an Investors Club introduction meeting and was impressed with the plan and the support network. That meeting planted a seed and for the first time realised that investing in property wasn’t as daunting as I thought. It was my own limited thinking about investing and taking a risk that held me back.

 

Since the first TIC meeting I continued to think about property investing while working hard and paying off my own home mortgage. My idea was to pay off my mortgage and then take a risk with an investment property. I worked an enormous amount of hours and even went overseas for 1.5 years to earn the extra income to pay off my mortgage which I eventually achieved. Even doing that I was still hesitating to buy an investment property. It was only after attending another TIC meeting and talking to other Club members that I decided to have faith in the Club plan and look for a property.

 

What I am impressed with most is the detailed property profiles and the amount of research that is carried out by TIC before properties are offered to members. It was these profiles that gave me the confidence to buy my first property. My support member was also a very important factor in the whole process which made the first purchase a pleasure. It was 5 years ago I made that first step into property investing and I am currently completing settlement for my third purchase through the Investors Club. I intend to buy additional properties through TIC and would not consider any other option due to the research, support and quality properties that are presented to members for consideration.

 

My only regret is that I did not start investing with TIC sooner. Looking back now I realise that the properties would have done all the hard work to create wealth instead of my own labour. If it wasn’t for the Investors Club I doubt I would have any investment properties today and would still be thinking about lost opportunities. With the support of TIC I now have the confidence to invest in property and setup an important part of my wealth creation portfolio. I once said to some work colleagues of mine that I was going to retire at the age of 50, now as that was about 20 or so years away I did not give it much more thought at the time. As I approached 40 I started to go into panic mode because if I was actually going to retire at the age of 50 then I needed to do something rather urgently to enable this to happen because my superannuation certainly was not going to provide my wife and I the sort of lifestyle that one dreams of in retirement.

 

At this stage and the fact that we had a passion for property, we had already purchased two investment properties in our home town of Newcastle Australia. My wife and I wanted to purchase another however this time we were looking at Queensland, our dilemma was how do we actually do it with out running up to Queensland every 5 minutes firstly to source a property and then to purchase and manage it. It was at this point that we came across The Investors Club and Kevin and Kathy Young, We did not know it at the time but these were the people that actually changed our lives. We went on to purchase another 7 properties in approx 3 years adding to the 3 including our own house that we already owned; this enabled us to be financially independent at the age of 50.

 

At the time I started investing I was doing my own due diligence in regards to property investing, I came across one of Neil Jenman’s books, “Don’t Sign Anything” although interesting, I started to look at the man and his ethics and soon found that what he was saying in his book did not match up with what I was finding out. He was a Real Estate Agent so he has to get the best possible price for the person that he represents and that is the vendor so how can he protect or consider looking after the purchasers interests, the answer is legally he cannot. He also sells his concept to other agents for a rather healthy price, the amusing part is after a period none of them seem at all happy and want out. At the other end The Investors Club was solely looking after the purchasers interests, getting the best possible deal for the purchaser, our choice was easy, without hesitation we were purchasing our first property through The Investors Club, we have never looked back, we will continue to purchase through The Investors Club, thank you Kevin and Kathy.

In response to your email please find a brief version of how I came across the Investors Club.  Please feel free to use it to support your work in the UK - with my blessings.  Thanks for asking me to share my story.  Here it is -

 

 

"I first came across the Investors Club nearly four years ago completely by accident you could say.  I was moaning to my sister in law about how real estate agents were so slack and couldn't be bothered returning my phone calls let alone send me any information out.  She said she remembered something about a club or something and she thought she had a piece of paper at home so she would try and find it.

 

A couple of weeks later she gave me the letter and I contacted the person on it and it was a chap by the name of Kevin Brennan.  I left a message on his answering machine and at the end of the day he actually returned my call.  That was a complete surprise to me because no one else who I had left messages for even bothered to ring back.

 

Kevin outlined the Club and asked if I wanted some information sent out.  Two ticks for him!!  He actually sent some information out and promised to ring me in a couple of days to make sure I got the information and to see if he could answer any of my questions because he assured me I would have a lot (which I did).

 

He rang as promised (three ticks now) and we had a really good discussion and he invited me to a meeting which was to be held in our local area.

 

I said I would be there.  Feeling it was going to be similar to other meetings/seminars etc I dragged my girfriend along for support.  I was very sceptical and thought it was another one where the people would be selling their books and cd's for $5,000 which was the case at other meetings etc.

 

Or worse I thought it might be another Henry Kay rip-off scheme.

 

We were the only two at the meeting and so Kevin invited us to ask as many questions along the way as we wanted so I did.  I felt like a serial pest but I must be honest and say that all my questions were answered straight up, much to my surprise. There was also another person there present from the Club, Anne Greening, who became my Support Member who has since assisted me to successfully build up my property portfolio.

 

I left the meeting and wondered what the catch/scam was so I did an ASIC (Australian Securities Industry Commission) search; a Company Search and a Titles Search but didn't find anything .... still I was sceptical and didn't put any faith in what I heard.  I went to other meetings feeling sure that I would catch them out at some scheme or other.  At the meetings the presentations were the same and very informative quoting facts and figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and other similar organisations.

 

I decided to step out and purchase a property with The Investors Club and a house and land package came up in Parkhurst (suburb of Rockhampton, Queensland) so I put in an Expression of Interest and was approved.  Now I really wondered what I had done and felt very nervous and was waiting for the crunch to come (which it never did by the way).

 

Everything went ok (I was still waiting for the catch mind you) and after the land was settled and the house started I decided to fly to Rockhampton and meet the builder - a chap by the name of Ted Price.

 

He was a man in his 60's and he told me he had been in the building game for 45+ years.  He showed me around Rockhampton and told me of the progress that had been happening albeit initially with a lot more to come particularly because of the mining boom.

 

We went through my property which was at the frame stage.  I asked him how he found out about the Club and Ted told me he had been approached by one of the Club's Researchers who liked the quality of the homes Ted's family run company had built, and said that his members were strictly investors and he said that better quality fixtures and fittings such as better quality air conditioners, dishwashers etc etc.  Ted told the Researcher that wouldn't be a problem but would cost the Investor $2,000 more and he was told that the Club's Members were Investors and didn't need maintenance issues with their properties.

 

I was still sceptical so I asked Ted what he thought about the Club.  He told me that they were the best "bloody" lot he had ever dealt with and when I asked him would he be involved with the Club in the future and he said like a shot.  He was impressed by the professionalism of the Club's personnel and assured me they were people of integrity.

 

Personally I thought it was interesting that he said that because if anyone was going to say anything negative about The Investors Club I was sure it was going to be him!!  Definitely not the case as I found out.

 

Well nearly four years down the track and what a fantastic journey it has been for me.  If you had have told me that I would be in the position I am in now four years ago I would have told you that you must have been smoking some funny weed as there was no way I could do what I had heard others say they had done.  Being self employed and a single female I thought never in a million years but here I am with a property portfolio!!

 

Just recently I have come on board as a Support Member with the Club because I want to help people build up a property portfolio like I have done.  I am settling my fifth property on Tuesday 8 July 2008 and am in the process of signing contracts for my sixth property.

 

I have had so much help and great advice that I really want to share with people how wonderful the Club really is.  There are no hidden agendas with the Club only people who are 'normal' down to earth people who want to help other 'normal' people become financially independent.  The Club provides so much advice and support before, during and after purchasing it is wonderful - such a blessing!!!

 

The Club shows you how to purchase and hold onto properties.  The facilities and services of the Club are like no other - I am so grateful to my Sister in law for handing me that piece of paper.

I purchased 2 properties in Queensland through the Investors club.

One in Ormeau (between the Goldcoast and Brisbane) and one in Yeronga in Brisbane.

 

The commission the club recieves go towards funding support services to help with our properties.

The day settlement occurred for my properties the club sent out keys to 5 real estate agents within the local areas of my properties...and in both instances we had tenants placed.

 

When the Tenants in the Ormeau property moved out...the Investors club once again sent out keys to Real estate agents who once again found tenant for me.

 

When I purchased both properties I did my research to ensure I was not being 'ripped off' I found the price was comparable to the price of other properties within the area.

 

The club do a lot of research and have knowledge that as an individual I am unlikely to know, or for that matter have the time to research and find out on my own.

 

I am glad I purchased a property through the investors club. I have had nothing but support from them.

In fact I am thinking of purchasing another property through them in the near future.

Patricia and I have found The Investors Club (TIC) here to have been very helpful in the last six years that we have been members.

  • The TIC's comprehensive range of services to help its members, e.g., Club Loans.

My name is Kent Mansbridge from Victor Harbor in South Australia.  Back in 1999 I attended a free seminar where a very competent salesman gave a slick presentation on investing in property which culminated in offering to fly us up to the Gold Coast that weekend - as long as I took my cheque book with me.  Fortunately I was busy, as it turned out that organisation was selling overpriced properties to unsuspecting southern state investors.  But I read a book they suggested by Jan Somers and saw the positives that are associated with investing in property.  Later that year we nervously went and bought a house which our son and his bride rented from us for 3 years.

We knew one property would not set us up for retirement but didn't know where to go from there.  Then in 2001 friends introduced us to The Investors Club.  They showed us how to build a portfolio of properties, one at a time as we were able to, and supported us step by step through each part of the process.  It was great to have experienced researchers finding suitable properties for us in places we couldn't get to, qualified builders to inspect properties on our behalf, and Leasing coordinators to make sure our places have been tenanted as much as possible.  Our support member was great and a constant source of encouragement.

It is a great club with members helping members and no pressure from sales people.  We now have over $2 million worth of property and over $800,000 equity.  Our second son who is 26 has 2 investment properties as a result of what we have learned through the Investors Club.  And we've been able to help a few other friends to build their own property portfolios.

I first found out about the Club in 2000 and was very skeptical. I attended a number of meetings and tried to look for the catch.

Eventually I purchased a small unit in an area I would not have chosen with a design I didn't like. I was placing my trust (and money) in the hands of the Clubs research. The little property doubled in value within

5 years, it has never, not been tenanted and has been positively geared for three years.

 

I then purchased a property in a different state sight unseen. Again it has doubled in value and the rent has skyrocket. I have still not seen this property. Over the next few years I purchased another 4 properties most of which I haven't seen. All have had excellent capital growth.

 

The success of my property investment through the Club and the capital growth I earned exceeded the superannuation I had built up over 25 years of teaching. This enabled me to look forward to an earlier and richer retirement.

 

So impressed was I with the Club I made application to become a support member and help my mates.

All I can say is that  my wife Dawn and I are eternally grateful for our comfortable life which can only be attributed to Kevins unselfish giving of secrets usually kept to the dinner table of the already wealthy

 

We now live on $A100,000 which is well above the average family of about $70,000 pa

 

In 2000 we lived on $25,000 and had a small working class house

 

We started by just purchasing one Investors Club property (BPC in Australia) and following the advice of our Investors Club Support Member.

 

We could not get loans through banks at the time but the Club helped us get enough to get started.

 

Since then we have just followed the advice and the 7 year Wealth Plan of the Club and retired with $A3million of property in 2006.

 

If it was not for Kevin and other Investors Club experts mentoring us we would need to work hard for another 20 years into our 70’s and then live on the meager Australian pension. As small business people we had no superannuation

 

The Investors Club Plan is not just about buying good property but is a well thought out plan towards a goal and also we have learnt many skills of how to choose property, how to get appropriate loans, as well as being good landlords and how to handle wealth.

 

I feel it is a real pity when people choose to criticize the Club without talking to those whose lives it has improved.

With any success story there will always be someone looking  from the outside and finding fault with its concepts. A lot of a members success comes from learning to change our thinking about debt, equity, and wealth

 

There will also be those who dabbled in the Club’s wealth plan and wouldn’t put in the effort but expected a stack of gold laying on the ground to take without any effort.

The Investors Club Plan still required work from us, it is not a get rich quick scheme but a step by step approach to learning the ways to create wealth safely. However when I look back it was only 6 years for us to retirement and it has really been an easy road because of all the help, mentoring, education, the great properties the Club found for us, and all the additional services and supports of the Club we have used and benefited from.

I joined the investors club just over four years ago.

I just want to tell you how I got into investment property and how I then discovered the investors club and changed how I was trying to do things.

My story starts eight years ago when I arrived here from London.

I stayed with family for a couple of months and then bought my first home here in Perth. It was a three bedroom one bathroom house in Clarkson.

Once I had settled in and found a job I soon realized that super wasn’t going to give me anywhere near a comfortable retirement and that if I wanted a better future I should look into additional ways of funding my retirement.

I did some research and decided to invest in property.  I’d heard too many horror stories where people had lost everything overnight in the share market and I didn’t really have any knowledge of how to invest in shares, but at least I had bought two properties in my lifetime!

I had been here a year when I bought my first investment property. It was a four bedroom two bathroom home in Quinns Rocks.  I bought another two over the next year; these were also four bedroom homes in the northern suburbs and they were all about twelve years old when I bought them.

I hadn’t discovered the investors club at this time, I wish I had though, as over the next few years I found that I suffered quite long vacancy periods between tenants and that my property manager wasn’t really up to the job. 

In addition to this, I was funding my rent shortfalls from my own pocket, now this was just about manageable with three rental properties, but I found that, working as a mechanic, I wouldn’t be able to fund anymore properties with my own money.  I also found out that I had hit a ceiling with my bank borrowing capacity because my salary wasn’t that great.

So at this point, I wanted to move on and buy more property but I had come to a bit of a dead end.

Not wanting to give up, I started doing some research on the internet and found the investors club web site. I liked the look of the club so I went to a free introductory meeting.

I liked what I heard there, so at the end of the meeting I filled out a finance capacity form and handed it to one of the support members.

A few days later I got an e mail from one of the club’s recommended finance brokers saying that I should be able to get another loan. Fantastic news, I could go shopping!

Because I had filled in and got a reply from the broker, I could now look at all of the club’s listed properties on the web site.

I liked the look of a property off the plan, in a small complex of four in Kinross, so I spoke to my support member and he put in an expression of interest for me. I got my second choice as somebody just beat me to my first. It was completed ten months later. This property was a three by one villa, different to my others, as it was brand new and only had a courtyard. I liked this as there would be fewer maintenance issues. I‘ve had this one for three years and it’s gone up in value by about 140,000 dollars or roughly 61 per cent.

Anyway, after that, followed a unit off the plan in Cairns, I think I was gaining a bit more experience now and didn’t feel that I had to be close to the property. This unit has just settled and the developer is marketing one of his remaining units at $45,000 dollars more than I paid!

Then I waited for about a year and did another finance capacity form, Club loans got back to me and we restructured my finances and after that……….well it’s all kind of snowballed!

I’m pretty sure I couldn’t have done this much without assistance and learning from the club, because when you consider that my last five property purchases have been in the eastern states;

I wouldn’t have been able to research the areas or find a solicitor with discounted fees.

I wouldn’t have been able to inspect the property prior to settlement and I definitely would not have been able to get three real estate agents trying to find a tenant for my property at the same time.

To be perfectly honest, I think I would have been too scared to buy over east without this help and the other free services that the investors club offers

The Investors Club has taught me different ways of financing my properties and my holding costs.  I certainly wouldn’t be standing here having over three million dollars worth of property without their support.

Last year I became a member of the property millionaires’ club by having over one million dollars in property equity.

So, I’m looking forward to increasing my knowledge and my property portfolio, still with the ongoing support of the club………and I’m also looking forward to a comfortable retirement in the not too distant future.

We immigrated to Australia in 1991 from South Africa and since 1997, with the invaluable help of The Investors Club, have built an investment property portfolio worth over $7 million.

 

Soon after arriving in Perth, Western Australia, I started work as a travel agent and Marilyn started teaching maths at a private college and, within a few weeks, we purchased our first home in Australia. We upgraded to a better home in 1994.

 

In 1996 we met Kevin Young who “persuaded” us to join his “free” Club.  Like we are sure most people are, we were skeptical of anything for nothing but after attending a few Club workshops, we decided to take the plunge.

 

We couldn’t buy a Perth property because the Club didn’t have any! So we ended up buying a new 1-bed, 1-bath apartment in South Brisbane for $140,000 and when we got a tax refund of nearly $6,000 a few weeks later, we were hooked!

 

Providing you understand the basics and you've got the guts, property investing the Club way is so easy.  Obviously the first investment is a big learning curve, but once you’ve done it, it simply becomes a process and you find one property quickly becomes two, and then three, and then four and so on.

 

With the Club’s help, we maximize our tax savings and, because the Researchers have done their job so well, we get good capital appreciation. Before we knew it, we had lots of equity.

 

The Club addressed our concerns like “What if we can't find a tenant? What if we get a bad tenant?”  And most other things that might go wrong.

 

We learned very quickly that it’s best to have our properties professionally managed and to take out landlord protection insurance.

 

It took us more than two years to begin looking for another investment property and then, in November 1999, we bought two in two weeks!  The first was a 3-bed, 2-bath villa in the Perth suburb of Redcliffe, for $128,500. The second was a waterfront 3-bed 2-bath apartment on Paradise Island in Surfers Paradise, Queensland, for $260,500.

 

By this time we had become pretty adept at investing and knew which type of properties to look for to maximise our returns.

 

The Club’s research kept pointing us to two States to invest in: Queensland and Western Australia, and that's where we have concentrated most of our efforts in the past 11 years.

 

In 2000 we snapped up a brand new detached villa in Bassendean, Perth for $148,000. Like most of our purchases, it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and off-street parking.
